Welcome to YA Mommy!

Welcome to YA Mommy.  My name is Amy, and I’m a thirty-something mother of two young boys.  I spend my days working as a juvenile probation officer, and my nights wrestling with my babies and compulsively reading.  I have been a young adult fiction fanatic for years, and even though I’m drifting farther and farther away from being considered a “young adult”, I believe my passion for this genre will never fade!  For years I have been teased by my friends and co-workers for being a “walking library” or YA fiction critic for how many YA books I have and my eagerness to recommend the ones that I love to others.  I’ve been doing it for so long and find such joy in it that I figured I’d make it official and start a blog where I can review and recommend books to others.  I know I’m certainly not the only YA fiction blog out there, but being a mommy and someone with what I consider to be good taste (hopefully you think so too) and high moral standards, I think my reviews might stand out a little from others.  I will regularly review newly released books (and maybe some old favorites too) so you will know what's great and what's not so great in my opinion.  I'll also let you know about exciting things to come or news about our favorite books and authors.  I love feedback (as long as it’s nice) and recommendations, so I always love to hear from you!  Come back and visit me often!
